widow weekend

It is officially what they call Widow Weekend in Wisconsin. It is the opening of a week long deer hunting season! Charlie is up north with his dad and some friends for the weekend, with big hopes of shooting a deer. Charlie got his first deer last year! That was exciting!! Hopefully he'll get another one this year!

I spent the day with my mom. We got a start on our Christmas shopping (and a few splurges for ourselves) and had a great time just being together. Even though we live about 15 minutes apart, we don't see each other as much as we both would probably enjoy. So, we take advantage of it while we can!! After a busy day of shopping, I met up with some girlfriends tonight for dinner. It was a great time of just chatting and catching up on life.

Now I am off to bed. I've stayed up much later than I thought, and should probably get some sleep!
